Homestead Cafe in Lakeside

We went for breakfast the first real Saturday upon moving here. I will say it was a really good breakfast. Honestly some of the best biscuits and gravy I've had since moving from Georgia 3 years ago. Prices were good, service great and the place is cozy and quaint with interesting stuff to look at and buy if desired on the walls.

With so many businesses under one roof we had to stop in. Nice people.

Food was good and very healthy but not what I was expecting. Mediterranean and Mexican with some American dishes too.

This place use to be awesome. It has really gone down. Service is slow but our waiter was amazing. Cook was not very nice but maybe that is why he is in the back cooking. Food greasy unfortunate. Use to go here all the time but stopped when it started going downhill. Will wait a few months and try again.

Ok experience for my first time stop. Seemed understaffed and we waited a little longer than normally would at any place. Breakfast burrito was ok, scrambled eggs in it seemed a little wet. Biscuits and gravy was great.

This place is amazing!! Everyone is so genuine, kind, & welcoming, especially Candace!! The food is fresh, & the portions are definitely a good size. The overall atmosphere makes me feel like I’m right at home. Go!!!

The service was great...the place is decorated with vintage and antiques, quite appealing and fun to look at! But the food is BASIC...so its "average!"

We've been on the road vacationing for almost a month, southwest and all up the west coast. Stopped in here for breakfast on our way to Glacier, best food by far since we started our journey! Don't pass this place up, also has a good atmosphere and very clean. Wonderful waiter/owner took great care of us! First five star review I've ever given.

Food is very fresh and delicious. However not your typical menu. Their Mexican food is amazing and the Mediterranean food is flavorful

What a great little dive! Super clean, pet friendly outside. Great food! Happy staff. Full Bar and a small casino. Antiques galore and some are for sale.

Don't let this place miss you as you drive by. Stopped here after a few hours of fishing in a cold June rain and this place was the perfect pick me up! Great breakfast, awesome people working here. Well worth your stop in!!

Had a nice breakfast for a day of playing on the water. It was fun to look around at all the antiques while eating, then I found a treasure of old spice tins! Would stop again if in town.

Weirdest food ever. Have to say the manager is on it in making sure our coffee cups are always filled, but the pancakes were still wet on the inside and our omelettes were both wet and lacking in ingredients. Had to be one of the worst places I have ever ate at for breakfast

First, know that they only clean the tables with a dirty rag! 😮That is the reason for 2 stars. It should be one for that but the food was good. We had the Buffalo pie and the chicken fried steak. Both were tasty and large portions. Service was just okay for only having a few customers. There aren't many choices in this area so everything is really expensive.$30+ for breakfast with no drinks!!

Wonderful food, exceptional service especially from Candace the waitress! Bill and Cindy warmly greet you when you walk in the door, they make you feel like family!

You must stop and eat here!!!! Their wait staff is wonderful and friendly, they all make you feel like family. The food is excellent, great menu lots of delicious options. The antique shop is top notch, lots of wonderfu items at a reasonable price!!! A hidden gem for sure.

Awesome breakfast in a small port town!

If you find yourself in Lakeside Montana, and stop here for breakfast, you will not leave hungry. It is adorable and loaded with both vintage and antique items for sale as well. Bathrooms were immaculate. So kudos to the owners who were very friendly and a great staff!

This place is a must go to spot! The food was EXCELLENT and the service was just as good! If you are lucky enough to get Rick as a server, you definitely wont be disappointed! Spice buddy!

First, and last, time we stopped here. Standard Sisco burger, onion ring with onion mush inside, and the onion on the burger itself was a nice huge ring that looked and smelled like it was cut last week. You know when the onion has different layers that rise up, dried edges and a 'funky to it? Well that was the onion on my burger. Yuch. Never again at Homestead, Just awful.Owner offered a chance to revisit as her treat. We will pass. We have been driving by for years without stopping and we will go back to that. Who is cooking should not matter; poor quality food is poor quality food, period. Thank you for your offer but we stand by our opinion to avoid your business.

Stopped in to the bar for a quick drink. Ended up staying for several hours, and coming back again later! Amazing hospitality by the bar tenders, and even other customers. Amazing, friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back!

Staff was very polite, however it took a while to get our food and once we did it was luke warm at best. Server replaced said meal and the next plate was nice and hot on one side, but cold on the other. The bill was the capper. 51 bucks for 3 meals and a side of onion rings. For a cafe it is really pricy. I do not see myself returning.

We ate here a couple of years ago, and it was phenomenal. This was to be one of the highlights to the end of a long over due vacation to Flathead lake. We were horribly disappointed. Poor service, bad coffee and subpar food, I think they gave my Wife and Eggo waffle(!!!). Not sure when we are making it back to the area again, I would give the another chance, only if I could talk my Wife into it.

Walked in and immediately greeted by the owner. The waitress was very happy, polite and accommodating. You could tell she liked her job. The place is full of antiques and native American stuff that is all for sale. The food came out so fast, I was wondering if they knew I was coming! Portions are Very Generous. I walked here to get some exercise and will need the walk back to burn of all the food they served! Come hungry like I did you won't be disappointed!

I LOVED this place!! The food was good and , the service was excellent and friendly, as our waitress and the owner greeted us and made us feel welcome immediately! Overall, the food was delicious and the place has a lovely atmosphere, filled with antiques and fun things to look at! If you're ever in Lakeside, go here!!
